The Hungarian Parliament is a functional live parliament which means that due to protocol events and other unforeseen events, the Parliament may cancel the guided tours without further notice.
Before you head to the Parliament please check Jegymester – the primary ticket platform used for the sale of parliament tickets in Budapest – to see if there is any upcoming cancellation which has been communicated last minute.
Trusted resellers and tour operators will also attempt to notify you if there is a cancellation. Please check your email (the one you used for reserving the online ticket or tour package to the Hungarian Parliament building) and keep your phone available.
The information published on Jegymester is normally in the following format, e.g.
Hereby inform you that on 4th November 2024, from 10:30 a.m. due to an official programme the Parliament building is not open for visitors.
Last minute cancellations can be inconvenient but there will be many other alternative attractions open and you are still welcome to take a closer look at the Hungarian Parliament’s beautiful building, close up, not only from the Fisherman’s Bastion’s panorama towers or the many cruise boats going past the Parliament building by day or by night. You may be pleasantly disappointed to explore the square and the neighbourhood of the Parliament either by yourself or in a city central walking tour.
